Zure has Earned the Modernization of Web Applications to Microsoft Azure Advanced Specialization

21.1.2021

Zure Azure News

Zure has modernized applications to Azure for the last 10 years since our founding. Our goal has always been to fully realize the benefits from Azure cloud. In some cases, this means modernizing applications so they are native to cloud, instead of executing a plain lift and shift.

Currently, there are about 50 companies worldwide with the Modernization of Web Applications to Microsoft Azure Advanced Specialization. We are very proud to earn this distinction.

Microsoft Partner Advanced Specialization Web Application Modernization

Press release 21.01.2021

Zure today announced it has earned the Modernization of Web Applications to Microsoft Azure advanced specialization, a validation of a solution partner’s deep knowledge, extensive experience, and proven expertise in migrating and modernizing production web application workloads, and managing app services in Azure.

Only partners that meet stringent criteria around customer success and staff skilling, as well as pass a third-party audit of their web workload deployment and management practices, including their ability to implement Azure App Service, are able to earn the Modernization of Web Applications to Microsoft Azure advanced specialization.

As companies look to modernize their applications and take full advantage of the benefits that cloud computing can deliver, they are looking for a partner with advanced skills to migrate, optimize, and manage their existing web workloads to the cloud.

"For the last 10 years, Zure has focused on advising, building, and supporting demanding solutions on Azure. We're ever excited about solving difficult problems in innovative ways, and we're happy that Microsoft keeps improving their cloud on a daily basis. Azure Advanced Specialization is a recognition we are very proud of since it represents the core of our doing - the designing and building of cloud-native solutions."

- Sakari Nahi, Zure CEO

Zure passed the audit on January 2021. According to Zure DevOps domain lead Okko Oulasvirta, the audit was a smooth process: "It was not hard for us to prepare for the advanced specialization audit, since we have a long history with Azure development and our Azure and DevOps guilds have built our practices to meet with Microsoft standards."

Gavriella Schuster, Microsoft Corp added "The Modernization of Web Applications to Microsoft Azure advanced specialization highlights the partners who can be viewed as most capable when it comes to migrating, modernizing, and managing web applications in Microsoft Azure. Zure clearly demonstrated that they have both the skills and the experience to offer clients a path to start enjoying the benefits of being in the cloud".

- Gavriella Schuster, Corporate Vice President, One Commercial Partner (OCP) at Microsoft Corp

Related to the Azure Advanced Specialization, Zure has released two service products in Microsoft Azure Marketplace:
