naYan is a leading full-service e-commerce company helping well-known brands like Samsonite, Tumi, and KitchenAid connect directly with consumers. What began as an online gift shop has grown into a powerful platform offering webshop solutions, strategic guidance, and digital services. To support continued growth and innovation, naYan set out to modernize its technical foundation, starting with a shift to Microsoft Azure. 

About project

Nayan recognized the need to future-proof their operations. Their back-office systems, originally custom-built, were becoming increasingly challenging to maintain. The expertise and talent required for maintaining and developing legacy-code has become hard to find and costly to attain.

naYan decided to move to the cloud and chose Microsoft Azure for its scalability, security, and development potential. In order to be able to build the entire new cloud solution, they needed advice on best practices, as Azure was at that time unfamiliar territory for the team.

The goal

The main objective was to modernize naYan’s Order Management System by migrating it to Azure, moving away from a monolithic architecture toward microservices. This would make it easier to onboard new customers and support other business-critical applications. The goal was to build this new foundation within a year.

 

 

The implementation

The collaboration began with an Azure environment assessment, followed by the continuous involvement of a resident Azure expert from Zure. Together, the teams established development pipelines, explored best practices, and laid the groundwork for new tools.

Zure also facilitated a discovery workshop for naYan’s invoicing application. The app is a key tool that required both business insight and technical depth. Throughout the development phase, Zure provided steady support and helped the team navigate time constraints, architectural decisions, and cloud-specific challenges.

Results

naYan now has a more maintainable and scalable back office equipped to handle the company's growth and diversification. The company now enjoys a modern infrastructure that can swiftly adapt to new challenges, thanks to the expertise and reliable partnership with Zure.

The transformation has been met with widespread satisfaction within the company. The guidance and support from Zure have aligned perfectly with the company's needs, reflecting the importance of a transparent and straightforward partnership.

Three major projects are now on track to be completed by the end of the year, laying the foundation for broader platform expansion in the year to follow.
