Hello you and welcome back! Today during Whoseday we will get to know Azure Developer Jukka-Pekka Lehtinen. Let’s figure out who this guy is, how does he feel about starting at Zure during Covid-19, and what is he going to do first when the restrictions are removed.
Jukka-Pekka has been coding for 15+ years. While experienced in many technologies, he is most familiar with the .NET stack. Currently focusing on cloud architectures and PaaS solutions.
Laihia! Professionally I’ve been coding for years (closer to two decades 😲) and seen projects and systems that instill terror in the hearts of men. Desktop software, web stuff, mobile apps, cloud thingies, you name it.
I had bumped into few Zure guys in previous projects and heard nice things about the place (no-nonsense attitude, a fridge full of ice cream). I also liked working with technologies that Zure was focusing on, and has some serious battle-scarred veterans doing those.
Luckily it’s not that a huge corporation, so I have some vague understanding of who the guys are, via many internal chatters. But let’s see how shocking it is to see them live someday! Sitting in video meetings is nothing new – project teams were often already distributed pre-corona.
When projects are interesting enough, it’s not that big of a chore to open the laptop lid. One more expresso and heavy metal, and I’m just fine!
Like many others, bought my first “real” bicycle last summer and have been cruisin’ since.
I’ll go and have a löyly in Kuusijärvi smoke-saunas (avanto-season came and went, maybe next winter). Then see some music gigs, I still have plenty of postponed tickets…
