Sebastian Gredal is an Azure Architect who joined Zure Denmark about six months ago. We asked him a few questions about his first half-year as a Zure employee.
What attracted you to Zure when you were considering other options?
On a regional scale, the Danish office is a small and tight knit group of people which I found endearing. I also knew some of the people here from beforehand and they gave stellar reviews about the community, culture and cross-collaborative approach.

I heard that your office in Denmark plans to grow significantly in the future. What would you like to say to someone considering applying to work with you?
To be excited about being a part of building the “ground floor” of the DK office, and being a part of creating the local culture and to work on interesting assignments.
How has your role evolved during your first six months at Zure?
Both a lot and not a lot has happened at the same time, maybe that I have stepped more into the architect role (at least with my current project) and I am more guiding/assisting (instead of implementing the solution) team members from different parts of the world.
How much do you currently collaborate with other countries?
Only on a single project and in a secondary capacity. International corporation otherwise shows itself by using our teams channels such as “Halp”.

What’s one unique aspect of our company culture that stood out to you?
We apparently have a very competitive foosball thing going on, so the days in the office is usually broken up by me getting absolutely beaten into the ground by the others here. 😁
What’s something valuable about working here that you wouldn’t know from the job description?
Not necessarily stated in the job description is that we have a bunch of people from different backgrounds and specialties in IT. So the chances of someone having experience with a certain issue or service is super high, so you can always reach out and someone might be able to help.
What’s one thing Zure does differently that makes it hard for you to imagine working anywhere else?
While maybe not “totally” different, fostering that open and welcoming culture that we have means a lot to me, and sets us apart from the larger maybe more impersonal organizations. i.e. your voice matters and you can have an impact.
