Markus, our Azure Developer, is the star of the day today. He’s rolling with the power of coffee, speaks C#, and in his mind is one TV shop product – can you guess what? If not, you should keep reading.

Markus Nyholm has five years’ experience in web app-, desktop- and mobile development with various modern technologies. In recent years, his focus has been on web-apps. He is interested in Azure services and full-stack development but also keeps focus on new frontend technologies.

🌏 Where do you come from?

From a land far, far away called Espoo, currently living in Helsinki. Professionally, I’ve been a software developer for about 5+ years, coding this and that (mostly mobile- and web apps).

🎙 What has been your favourite thing about Zure?

People and their desire to teach and help. Also, company events have been awesome! In the aftermath of the pandemic, it’s been great to finally meet people face-to-face. Though I started working at Zure in April, I didn’t see most of my colleagues until our company event in September.

🧩 What parts does your workday usually consist of?

Coffee, programming, planning, more coffee, internal meetings and events, lunch, more coffee, client- and team meetings.

📺 What’s your favourite TV shop product?

Aromipesä, no question. This bad boy makes cooking really quick and easy. “Now you don’t have to spend several hours a day cooking”, it only takes 4-6 hours to make hernekeitto (pea soup).

💡 What would you say to a person considering applying to Zure?

I would encourage that person to have an interview because that was the decisive moment when I noticed that this seems like a perfect fit for me. Of course, people are different, and this might not suit everyone, but all in all, I would recommend applying.
