Introduction

Seure’s workforce supports the daily lives of their clients on thousands of sites in hospitals, care work, at daycares, and in schools every day. Seure aims for a better everyday life in labor-intensive industries with an acute labor shortage and a growing need for a professional workforce.

The IT assessment carried out by Seure in 2018 revealed significant deficiencies in the information systems at the time. It was time to start building a new information system architecture and services that better meet the changing needs. The transition from outdated systems to a more customer-oriented, digitally savvy model led to the adoption of Microsoft Azure and the initiation of a partnership with Zure, an experienced specialist in solving challenges with Azure.

The collaboration’s first triumph was the design and launch of the OmaSeure mobile application for employees.

Challenge

Starting from a monolithic system, Seure embarked on a journey to reinvent their services with a customer-centric focus. This shift brought to light the potential for new services and the opportunity to offer a fresh customer experience on a digital platform.

Seure recognized the need to take control of the match between our employees’ solutions and customer experiences. Taking their business into their own hands, Seure could directly address the interface between employees and customers. Wanting to avoid the limitations imposed by off-the-shelf products, Seure opted to custom-develop their solutions from the ground up.

Seure sought to revolutionize the job booking process for its vast workforce to further enhance versatility and flexibility for the company’s workforce of over 19 000 people. They started the collaboration with Zure to build an application that would significantly improve the experience of users and decrease their internal workload.

The app simplifies administrative tasks by enabling staff to report absences due to sickness, submit necessary documents, and manage their work calendars with ease.

A rapid ERP system transition occurred in tandem with app development. Despite these hurdles, the user experience of the employees remained smooth and consistent, demonstrating Zure’s capability to maintain stability during periods of change.

Thousands of users entail varying devices. Zure’s designers and developers were able to build an app that caters to the broad user base with varying device usage, necessitating a highly adaptable and compatible app across different platforms.

The OmaSeure app stands as a testament to successful innovation. It has become a pivotal tool for filling 6.4 million work hours annually, transforming the way Seure’s workforce connects with opportunities.

The app now boasts a 4.2-star rating on the Apple App Store and 4.3 stars on Google Play, with over 10,000 downloads.

The app’s success is evident compared to the previous 2-star rating, indicating a significant improvement in user satisfaction.

Plans for the future

The project continues to evolve, with future enhancements aimed at automation and further development of self-service functionalities.

Seure and Zure are also working on leveraging artificial intelligence to further enhance automation and the user experience of Seure’s workforce.
