Hello again and welcome back from the holidays. Also, #Whoseday is turning back on from the off mode. ☀️ We have got so many new faces to our Zure team during this year and summer. Let’s start with one of them: Welcome to Zure Ville Lehmusmies!

Ville is a data professional who loves to refine raw data to useful knowledge. Last years he has been working with Microsoft data stack and focusing on the reporting end of the data management process.

🌏 Where do you come from?

I come from Järvenpää. Oh, professionally? I did a (too) long career in the fast-food business before my IT days. I started as an IT generalist and application support, but as often happens in small companies, I got to do lots of different stuff. DevOps, System administration, Release management, QA stuff, and Database Administration to name a few. The last one, DBA, was the one that got me into the data business. To make a long story short, I switched the company and became DW/BI consultant using Microsoft tech stack and specialized in BI reporting.

🎙 Why Zure as an employer?

I had heard a lot about the company culture and the way how things are done here. It seemed that this would be a good place to work for. And so far it has been really nice place to be.

🦸 You have started at Zure during Korona. Was it difficult to get to know your co-workers and actually start working?

Yes, it was and I still think that I do not know half the people half as well as I should. What helped me was the fact that I already knew several of my co-workers. The company’s easy-going culture was also a helping factor.

☕️ Where do you get strength for your work week?

Coffee, Zero Cola, and dry humor.

🥾 Your new (or old) covid-19 hobby?

Hiking would be the one. It isn’t a new one, but during covid-19 it has been much more important than before. And covid-19 was an excellent excuse to get even more hiking equipment… 😀
