It’s the second week in a row for QA! This time we hear about Virpi, our Quality Assurance Lead.
Virpi has 17 years of experience in quality assurance and testing. She has been working in several different industries with varying technological solutions. Whether it is test automation or exploratory testing, her main focus is on ensuring that the solution is fit for purpose.
🌍 Where do you come from?
I live in Helsinki, but originally, I come from Tampere. That’s also the place where I started my testing career. Only afterwards have I realized how valuable foundation skills I learned during my early career years. In general, that is one of the coolest things in my job; you constantly get a chance to learn something new that is often useful also later on in new adventures.
🕵️♀️ What parts does your workday usually consist of?
Lately I have been working quite much from home. Although I prefer to work at the office; it feels good to walk to tram stop in fresh air, take tram to our nice city centre office, get a cup of coffee, and start the working day at my own dedicated desk. Usually during the day, I attend internal or customer meetings, and do testing work. Designing and promoting quality assurance things in general is also on my task list.
☕️ Random fact about you
I love coffee but prefer decaf. I often feel like a total weirdo in Finnish coffee-scene 🙂
